Hat Trick Jam at Penn Skate
The guys over at PA Woods are having a jam at Penn Skate next Saturday.
Sounds like a really cool concept for a jam, here are some details:
“It’s like a modified version of playing BIKE. We will have an under 15 bracket and an over 16 bracket. Anyone who wants to play will write their name on a white board and write 3-5 tricks that they can do. Once everyone signs up, I will write the tricks on paper and put them in a hat. First person picks a trick out of the hat and gets 3 trys to land the trick. If they land it, they put the paper in their pocket—if they don’t—the trick it goes back in the hat. Whoever has the most tricks in their pocket at the end of the night wins the lift ticket.”
All are invited to play, but competing is not necessary. So grab your bike and shake off the icy gloom of January.

Re-Up: Justin Care

I made these two edits with Justin earlier in the year for a clothing company called Invite that’s been hooking him up but I never posted them here. Justin’s a street shredder and one of my favorite people to shoot with because he says yes to everything. The photo above was featured in his profile in Dig magazine last year. United “Downtime”
Sick riding. There is even some trails. Not enough though.
‘Between mid January and the end of June 2011, following the release of our most recent full length DVD ‘This Is United’, we rented a small vacation apartment in Huntington Beach. During this time, team riders from our pro, am and world teams flew out to visit, ride, relax, film some clips and soak up some of that Californian lifestyle.’
Featuring:
Nathan Williams, Ryan Lloyd, Corey Martinez, Alex Valentino, Ashley Charles, Ryan Metro, Luke Peeters, Geoff Slattery, Roy Van Kempen, Dan Boiski, Jimmy Rushmore, Christian Rigal, Kye Forte, Leo Forte & Dean Hearne.

Sense of Sight
A behind the scenes look at Joe McNally’s Sense Of Sight cover story for National Geographic. Quite interesting and it makes me think differently about my process as a budding amateur photographer.
